THE COUNCIL OF ST. LUCIA
Derek and Sky’s voices resonated outward and upward – up through the world of man into the world of dreams and further still into the world of will, where their anthem, wrapping the earth in a blanket of song, could be heard throughout the entire world. In fact, there was not a place on earth where their anthem could not be heard.
Meanwhile, the twelve had been convening for several days in a council on the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean, in one final effort to bring both groups of six into a peaceful compromise. After six days of tireless deliberation, the two leaders (Razor, of the six who turned, and Marion, of the six who remained) had written up a treaty that more or less satisfied both parties, giving the six who remained half the earth to do with as they wish, while giving the other half to the six who turned – to do with as they wish.
Having been signed by the other eleven, Razor stepped up, taking the quill pen from Cupid who had just signed. Dipping the pen in the inkwell one last time, Razor bent down to sign the agreement…
