Part 2
SEND ME AN ANGEL

Our Sky, 14 years young… so young, so beautiful, so… lost.

She finds herself pacing round her room, the kitten of her mind mewing so softly from the bed.  Sky once again faces the emptiness in her heart, an emptiness left by yet another boy who just couldn’t see past himself, who only wanted to use her up.  See, she was so small… small like a bunny, and one could easily overshadow her… but ironically enough, her love was so big.  But who could see it?  It wasn’t exactly the boys’ faults though; they were conditioned by the same loveless society that has conditioned us all.  But who could save her from this emptiness?  Who out there might be able to fill this hole in her heart?

She wondered these things, and she cried.  She pressed play on her CD player and sang along1:

Play

Send me an angel
Send me an angel
Right now, right now

Send me an angel
Send me an angel
Right now, right now

Now Crisis just happened to be in the same city as Sky, raising Derek under one of her numerous aliases, and in her heart, she heard Sky’s cries. Crisis-M (Crisis’s mind, which resembles her own physical being), enters into the young Sky’s bedroom and sits down on the bed, petting the kitten of Sky’s mind and listening to Sky sing along:

Send me an angel
Send me an angel
Right now, right now

Send me an angel
Send me an angel
Right now, right now

Crisis-M sings along now:

Do you believe in heaven above?
Do you believe in love?
Don’t tell a lie, don’t be false or untrue
It all comes back to you

Sky again:

Open fire!
On my burning heart
I’ve never been lucky in love
My defenses are down
A kiss or a frown
I can’t survive on my own

If a boy walks in and draws his name in my heart
I’ll turn and run away
Everyday we’ve all been led astray
It’s hard to be lucky in love

Crisis-M:

It gets in your eyes
It’s making you cry
Don’t know what to do
Don’t know what to do
You’re looking for love
Calling heaven above

Sky and Crisis-M:

Send me an angel
Send me an angel
Right now, right now

Send me an angel
Send me an angel
Right now, right now

Send me an angel
Send me an angel
Right now, right now

Send me an angel
Send me an angel
Right now, right now

Although Sky can’t hear her, Crisis-M speaks to her, and Sky can sense her presence. “Oh, but Sky, you’re both still so young. What would you do if I sent him now? What would he do? He’s so young too. It’s hard enough for him to grow up here as it is, it would only cause more pain and confusion to initiate anything prematurely. Keep holding on, sweety. Your cries are not unheard, they are not. A little time is all it needs.”
